SMART ATOM ROUTER
One secure compute decision layer across Community AI.
Smart Atom Router connects applications to the right eligible computing resource.
It sits between the work being requested and the infrastructure capable of performing it — across Smart Atom Retail hubs, CEAC nodes, cloud infrastructure and specialist compute.
The application asks for a capability.
Smart Atom Router decides:
- what is allowed to process it
- where it is allowed to run
- which resources are capable
- which resources are trusted
- which resources are available
- which eligible destination best fits the job
- what evidence must come back
Secure execution. Intelligent placement. Evidence built in.

SECURITY FIRST
Security creates the candidate set.
Smart Atom Router checks identity, authorisation, data classification, provider trust, execution eligibility, capability, entitlement and cost policy before routing begins.
Only eligible resources compete for the work.
A cheaper route cannot override a security rule.
A greener route cannot override a data policy.
A specialist processor cannot receive work it is not approved to run.
The right compute for the work
- CPU
- General-purpose processing, orchestration and application workloads.
- GPU
- AI inference, language, vision, speech and other parallel workloads.
- NEUROMORPHIC
- Sparse, event-driven processing for continuous low-power sensing, classification and anomaly detection.
- CEAC
- Trusted community compute.
- SMART ATOM RETAIL
- Shared high-street compute and community AI infrastructure.
- CLOUD
- Approved scalable CPU and GPU capacity.
- SPECIALIST
- Quantum, biological, FPGA, photonic and future specialist systems through explicit provider controls.

Don't process what hasn't meaningfully changed
Sparse computing asks:
What computation can be avoided without materially reducing the quality of the result?
For continuous sensing, a low-power event-driven processor can watch for meaningful change and only escalate when something happens.
sensor → local event detection → meaningful change? → deeper CPU/GPU analysis
Not: process everything, all the time.
Every execution can leave a receipt
Smart Atom Router can record:
- • workload identity
- • route decision
- • execution class
- • provider
- • resource
- • originating node
- • executing node
- • timestamps
- • result hash
- • usage
- • energy
- • carbon
- • cost
- • entitlement consumption
Every route attributable. Every execution receipted.
Evidence before claims
If energy is unknown, it remains unknown.
If carbon is modelled, it remains modelled.
If a provider supplies no per-job energy evidence, Smart Atom Router does not invent it.
Evidence determines the claim.
